We are currently recruiting for Security Officer's to join a prestigious pharmaceutical company in Abingdon. The role is to work a regular shift pattern Friday 1300-2230, Saturday 1930-0700, Sunday 1930-0730, and Monday 2330-0730.

This means that you will have to cover Friday through to Monday. We are looking for security officer's to join the newly acquired contract, to help secure the site. The corporate environment means that you will have to put customer service first, with excellent communication and be able to provide quality service at all times.


What will your role involve?

  • Maintaining a secure environment.
  • Monitor and respond to security systems, including access control systems, video surveillance, intrusion detection systems, and fire alarm systems.
  • Evaluate incidents that may impact client employees or offices and escalate accordingly to security management and subsequently to other business units.
  • Work with a team of security professionals to identify and report potential threats and manage responses to incidents.
  • Respond to alarms and incidents and provide timely and accurate reporting to the senior security team.
  • Conduct regular rounds of the facility to ensure that all areas are secure and free from potential hazards.
  • Maintain accurate records of all incidents, including detailed reports and documentation.
  • Provide support to the Facilities team during emergencies, including medical emergencies, fires, and natural disasters.
  • Able to manage and handle situations of a sensitive nature and maintain company confidentiality.
  • Manage the access control system.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all facility occupants and visitors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
