Teaching Partner Needed
One of the schools I work with in Cheltenham is currently looking for a Teaching Partner to join them for the next academic year! The role will be throughout the entire school year in a lovely Primary school situated very centrally. The school is small in size, with around 205 students and there is a lovely sense of community throughout the school. The staff are friendly and dedicated to their work, it would be a lovely team to work with!
The role is for the next academic year and would be a part time position Monday-Friday, in a year 1 class. The hours on a daily basis would be between 8:30-3:30, and you would work a total of 27 hours per week. The school needs someone who can deal with potentially challenging behavior and use their initiative as you would often be working with students away from the class, in more intervention based sessions. You must be qualified as a Teaching Assistant.
What will you do on a day to day basis?
- Support and aid the Teacher with the lesson plan.
- To supervise students throughout break times/lunch
- To complete intervention sessions independently
- To help students with reading/phonics
