As a Cyber Security Apprentice, you will have the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and learn from industry professionals. In this role, you will work closely with our experienced team to protect our clients' digital infrastructure from cyber threats. You will contribute to the implementation and maintenance of security measures, assist in vulnerability assessments, and provide support in incident response activities.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
· Support vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities to identify potential weaknesses and vulnerabilities in systems and applications.
· Help monitor and analyse security events and incidents and assist in incident response activities.
· Contribute to the development and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and best practices.
· Assist in the investigation and resolution of security breaches or incidents.
Requirements:
· 5 GSCE’s at a grade 4/C or above.
· Strong passion for cyber security and a genuine interest in staying updated with the latest security trends and technologies.
· Basic understanding of networking concepts and computer systems.
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
8-Week Online Bootcamp:
Before commencing the apprenticeship, selected candidates will be required to complete a comprehensive 12-week long online bootcamp. This bootcamp will provide you with essential knowledge and skills in cyber security, ensuring you are well-prepared for the apprenticeship program. During the bootcamp, you will receive expert-led training, engage in hands-on exercises, and participate in interactive learning sessions.
