Business Support Consultant

Salary circa £22,000

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a business support consultant to join our growing distribution support team in Sheffield. As business support consultant you will provide support to financial advisers, using our adviser platform and working with our sales teams, platform adoption team and platform account management team. You will work closely with the face to face and telephony sales teams to onboard new accounts, to support all pre-sales processes and to help advisers, helping them navigate the platform and reach the best team to help them with their queries.

Within the distribution support team, our focus is to ensure our platinum accounts receive an excellent service. We strive to understand the needs of new platform users and to build trust in our service with those who have experienced challenges in the past.

A bit about the job:

• Work closely with financial advisers, maintaining existing relationships and building new ones to understand the needs of each firm and financial adviser
• Respond to inbound calls from financial advisers and provide support for a range of queries
• Ensure the correct decisions are made when deciding how to deal with an adviser’s request
• Identify new business opportunities and share with the sales team
• Be risk aware when dealing with adviser queries and ensure the correct processes are followed

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal and be confident picking up the phone to speak to financial advisers and other Aviva teams
• Evidence of strong organisation and time management skills
• The ability to deal with difficult conversations and take ownership of cases
• Experience of using different IT systems would be advantageous
• Relevant industry experience would also be beneficial but not essential as full training is provided

• Salary of circa £22,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
